Two Poems from our Sisters Poetry Collection

Sisters

Author: Marylou Hall

Poem:
Sisters

  Best friends and Sisters,
We will always be.
Together,
For eternity...
Memories from way back when,
We used to fight.
There was no end.
You were always there,
To follow around.
Even if I became a hound.
As we grew,
We grew in our hearts.
And now you can't tear us apart.
A true gift,
That you are.
My best friend,
Till the very end.

Missing my sis

Author: Robert Miller

Poem: Missing my sis

I hate that my little sister
on her birthday,
had to celebrate all alone
while so far away.

I was so happy to hear her voice
on the telephone today,
but it would have been so much better
to be able to visit her in the UK.

With her being so far away
it is nothing like it was before,
everyday that passes bye
i miss her more and more.

My only wish is that she was closer
than the telephone,
i wish that my little sis
would finally come home.
