Why is it so Hard to Let Go?

Author: Alisha Capps

Poem:
Why is it so Hard to Let Go?

Darkness soon covered the sunny sky,
I had this feeling inside my chest.
‘something’s going to happen’ I thought to myself,
I wish I wasn’t right, I wish everything would change.
I watched her leave us, her family behind,
She yelled “I hate you, I wish you would all die!”
I knew now my life would never be the same.

I hate her, I despise her,
But in a way I still love her.
She was my sister after all,
Even if she left us, her family.

I wish I could forget her,
Move on with my life.
But for some reason I have this sadness deep inside.
A sadness of actually letting my sister go forever.
I only have one question after my ordeal,
Why is it so hard to let go?

My Sister

Author: ROHIT SAPRA

Poem: My Sister

Easy it is to find friends
And be their friends
Difficult it is to make them stay.
Stay people do in life
Till time they have with them
Which is scarce in today's world
So why to waste it?
Is thinking of people about others
Since sharing has been forgotten
Which came through caring
For one another
In a bond which I developed with a friend
Whom I called my sister
For a sister was absent in life
Which happens to be mine
Empty which was
Until a friend stepped in who happens to be my sister.
