Why Do We?

Author: None Buisness

Poem:
Why Do We?

Why? Why do we run back and forth night after night? Running so hard we throw up Running so hard your heart beat rings in your head while your lungs are grasping for air. Late nights early mornings, Friday nights Saturday evenings, broken bones, torn muscles and deep bruises We run through it all. Because we live off our adrenaline, because the game frees your spirit, because the party in the locker room is fine because your invincible once you step on the court because a shot can make you smile all night, squeek of your shoes, the rattling of the boards, the feel of the ball, and shoes pounding into the floor is a rhythm to live by, because its possible to run fast enough to leave all ur worries behind. Sweat is the perfume of our accomplishment. Why? Why would someone push themselves so hard? Its not 4 the money, and its not 4 the fame. We do it because we love it..we love the game of basketball

Ours To Keep. (Five Times)

Poem: Ours To Keep. (Five Times)

Ours To Keep (Five Times.) 24th May 2005 ...................

Bill Shankly was looking down from above,
Bob Paisley, and Crazy Horse too.
Three nil down at half time,
What were Rafa’s men to do?

The team went off dejected
Their moral now was low.
Could they turn the game around?
Only time alone could show,

The twelfth man was stirring.
Singing you’ll never walk alone.
But to comeback from three nil down
In the final has not been known.

They came out in the second half,
With a job to be done.
Something special needed.
For this game to be won.

Gerrard used every muscle he had,
Playing the captains role,
To power the ball on its way.
And score that crucial goal.

Heads now were lifted,
Belief was now restored.
A chance shot from nowhere.
And Vladimir Smicer has scored.

A captain’s charge was halted,
As he was pulled to the ground
Alonso’s pen was saved,
But he netted the rebound.

A Mersey dream in motion,
But a nightmare for Milan,
The reds had turned the game around,
Thanks to Rafas’ plan.

It wasn’t quite over yet.
Extra time to play.
Enter Jersey Dudek.
The hero of the day.

The dying minutes of the game,
A fantastic double save made.
This must surely be,
The best he’s ever played.

His heroics weren’t over,
As the shoot out was started
When Shevchenkos pen was saved.
Milan went home broken hearted.

The cup belongs to Liverpool now,
After the greatest comeback ever known.
We’ve won it five times,
Ours to keep, in our Anfield home.
