Twenty Seven Strikes The Perfect Game

Poem:
Twenty Seven Strikes The Perfect Game

  Baseball diamond
pitchers mound,
catcher squatting
to the ground.
Throws the signs
for next pitch,
ball released
with every stitch.
Approaches batter
at a high speed rate,
swings his hardest
but much too late.
Umpire calls
the pitch strike one,
then the pitcher sets
and reloads his gun.
He stares into home
just below the hitter,
to read his next sign
and he throws a sweet splitter.
Never making contact
with the pitch that he threw,
The ump turns to his side
and calls it strike two.
The count is 0-2
and the next pitch would be,
a high fastball
that made it strike three.
Two more outs
to strike out the side,
the feat was repeated
when he pitched them inside.
On nine straight pitches
this feat was done,
he repeated it eight times
and with a no hitter,he won.
Unpredictable historic events
theres nothing like it at all,
you never know what will happen
in a good game of ball.

Poem: BELIEVE was Written 7/5/03

The Boston Red Sox
a reborn team,
under new managment
if you know what i mean.
You never know
this will bring luck,to beat those damn Yankees
the Yankees that Suck.
We still have Nomar
with his agility and all, including the ability
to hit out that ball.
Varitek,a great catcher and better by the year, his bat is not silent
and has an arm runners fear.
Trot is another
i wont forget to mention, with all that he does
he deserves some attention.
Then there is Manny
the slugger we all know, that with one power swing
can make that ball go.
Oh! Dont forget Pedro the strikeout master,
do you think he could punch out
the batters any faster.
The list is too long
to go and name them all,but we do know this. they sure can play ball.
I am a die hard fan
and will watch win or lose, because the Boston Red Sox
is the team that i choose.
So win Boston Red Sox! Do your absolute best,
to put those damn Yankees
put them to the test.
