The Brady Bunch

Author: Robert Miller

Poem:
The Brady Bunch

  This is about
a name we all know,
it's The Brady Bunch
not that dumb show.

Their family's much larger
than just having six kids,
theres thirty to forty
and they play on the grids.

They are all well known
and just as famous of course,
their not family with values
but family with force.

They don't listen to their dad
but to only who makes the call,
but the funny thing is
he's not a brady at all.

He is Bill
Bellechecks his name,
like a dad he is there
to watch every game.

To support them
and give them direction,
because he wants them to play
with only perfection.

So why is it you ask
we call them The Brady Bunch,
it's because of how they play
with the quarterback in the crunch.

Yes! you guessed it
the quarterbacks Brady,
and what would they be
without his accuracy.

He's always on his mark
and has been put to the test,
which proved when they play together
that they are the best.

They're becoming a dynasty
and when you look you can see,
that this family's much better
than the one cancelled on tv.

Who Say's We Can't Play

Author: Robert Miller

Poem: Who Say's We Can't Play

We all have played baseball
at one point in time,
even the less fortunate
who had not a dime.

They had not the money
nor did they have the expense,
to buy the tools needed
to hit balls over a fence.

But that did'nt stop them
from playing a good game of ball,
even without umpires
they made their own calls.

Since not having money
they'd find what they could,
that could replace
that bat made of wood.

Whether it was a broomstick
a branch or some kind of pole,
they were determined
and to play was their goal.

They'd use tennis balls,racquet balls
or anything they found,
as long as it was good sized
and completely round.

A chair was at first
and then at second base,
they used the manhole cover
that sat in it's place.

They had a box on third
and then there was home,
that they outlined in chaulk
to create a strike zone.

There was left,center
and then there was right,
that was not close to a field
but to only street lights.

Though the things that they used
might not have been the same,
but they did whatever needed
to play their favorite game.
