DRAAKOR

Author: Maria Habets

Poem:
DRAAKOR

Flowing around as fog glows with whispers,
the moon shines wonderous forever nights.
Withered wings rustle like a strange crisper,
not knowing the form will never be right.

The yellow glowing eyes always fallow,
as the passing prey hunts for long night food.
The den in darkness with darkened hallow,
swooping down with wondrous grace and cool.

As a cloud hovers to cover the moon,
dead stumps casting shadows that spread like ink.
With the cover of darkness it comes soon,
the powerful wings swoop downward and sink.

A flashing of claws come in contact strenght,
now ending a life to start another.
As always and forever keep its lenght,
gliding higher with much more of wonder.

Author: Caroline Raffa

Poem: UNLESS

Many people can do what I do, can't they?
If your heart would just soften

I will not think I am fabulous
Unless I see it in your eyes
So many other girls are just as good
My self-esteem daily dies

I will not think that you love me
But if you just say it...nevertheless
Is this a lot to ask for?
I really won't know...unless...
