Winter time walking
looking for shelter

Each warm spot
I noticed
already taken

My feet really cold
coat has no buttons

My hat is made of straw
funny thing to wear
in this time of season

I do not know
if my hands
are still there

Cold I am
freezing

There’s a spot
in that card board box

Morning time
people standing over me
as I lay here dead

A popsicle
wrapped up in
newspaper ads

They move my body
to the city morgue

Finally got heat
my soul is warm
By his grace
