The wind blows across my face The temperature starts to drop Over the thunder i can hear my heart Pounding ever so hard It skips a beat when i think of you A raindrop lands on my cheek I don't notice its presence for it Blends in with the tears The lighting flashes bright & Shows my face I don't acknowledge the rising water around my feet I stare at a picture of your being Knowing what i had is no longer there Knowing what is there is no longer you Wind howls like wolves in the woods My hair brushes across my face I tremble in the cold Water up to my knees Yet your picture stays in my hands Forever and always I will remember you I can't stand to think of you I can't stand to be away This is when i start to pray If i can't be with you then I would rather be Without a breath Without a shout The tears are drowing me It hurts to breathe The picture floats away And my body lies Hooded with tears Drowned by my rain

Old Footprints |
| |
Following old footprints to places I’ve been before, Greeting old memories on which I thought I’d closed the door. Reliving the many moments that once inhabited my mind, Dodging the shattered pieces of the broken heart left behind. Catching stolen glimpses of secrets best left unknown, Visiting the ruins of the life that is my own.
