WHAT I LEARNED FROM MY MOTHER

Author: Danielle Country

Poem:
WHAT I LEARNED FROM MY MOTHER

  I learned from my mother
Just how to be a friend
How to love another
And sometimes you must bend

I learned from my mother
How to sacrifice
You will not always be thanked
So offer up the price

I learned from my mother
To carry myself with pride
It’s not all about looks
It’s what you have inside

I learned from my mother
To always persevere
To accept my best efforts
And always be sincere

I learned from my mother
How to make my tea
To drink it with a book
And live life gracefully

I learned from my mother
And the kindness in her heart
My manners and my humor
And all she did impart

I learned from my mother
Just how I want to be
And with every day that passes
I see more Mom in me.

NOW THAT YOU'RE GONE!!!

Author: The'Angela Robinson

Poem: NOW THAT YOU'RE GONE!!!

Now that you're gone, I don't know what to do.
When you were here, it was fun.
Everytime I looked at you, I saw an Angel.
Now that you're gone, I don't know what to do.
I wanted you to be there to see me grow up and be somebody, like you've always wanted.
You were the one who helped me through my troubles, and took me in when no one else would. You did a lot for me and I THANK YOU.
