Two Poems from our Tributes, Memorials Poetry Collection

HEAVEN'S DAYCARE

Author: Chaine McIntyre

Poem:
HEAVEN'S DAYCARE

You always said you had a purpose
Even in your death
A purpose filled in heaven
A soul to never rest

Your afflictions here on Earth
Never brought you down
Only fueled your Obligation
With a kind of love only you have found

Life was just a practice
For the future you knew you'd receive
Children all around you
Surreal innocence only you perceive

Heaven's daycare now in your hands
A gift that you control
Your precious care around them
Guiding their adolescent souls

As you walk on heaven's streets
Your soul forever free
I only hope you teach those children
As you have once taught me.

SEPTEMBER 11TH

Author: Alex Steffy

Poem: SEPTEMBER 11TH

September 11th, it was very clear,
People started the day without any fear.
Everything was bad from the start,
The terrorists tried to tear us apart.

At NYC, Washington D.C., and PA,
Nobody will forget this chaotic day.
Crumbling, falling, crashing down,
Concrete and debris hitting the ground.

Many people volunteered at ground zero,
They had no idea they would become a hero.
You better listen one last time,
We will not tolerate such a crime.

Osama you thought the day had come,
That the U.S.A. would no longer be one.
You were wrong and we’ll find you one day,
GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.
